New Collections for October 2010!

I am so full of creative inspiration today reviewing all of the Woodland Friends II sketches from the contest, so how about some more inspiration? We’ve got some new collections to drool over today! These are super new collections–not even out yet. They are pre-selling to shops now, so if you like them, let your local shop know! These collections come out in October 2010.

This collection is by new Clothworks designer, Erin Ries. The collection is called Milly, and I am in looooove with it!

Ohhh the colors are so dreamy!

More on Erin later…we did a little Q &A that I’ll post later this week…

And now for the cutest darn dinosaur fabric collection I’ve EVER seen! This is Dinos on Parade by Jill Webster.

Look at the little dino wheels…could this be any cuter?

And such bright colors!

….and the latest from Masha D’yans, Celebration. Doesn’t it just make you want to get up and dance?

Masha is the same designer that did the collection Cherie which was such a hit…

Such a fun new collection!

And now get your caffeine fix with Daily Grind by Barb Tourtillotte!

Ever wonder why we do so many coffee collections? No, it’s not because we’re in Seattle…people just looooove coffee!

…and people love quick and easy panel quilts too! Or opt for the quick and easy potholders!

We’d love to hear what your favorite new collection is, so leave us a comment and tell us all about it. We’ll select 1 lucky winner to receive the free pattern kit for their favorite collection on Friday, May 14th. Please, only one comment per person. Thanks, and Happy Sewing!

  1. So I’m really liking the Milly collection. Don’t you think yo638-14 and yo635-41 would be cute in my overalls? Brandi, I must thank you for the blog. It’s really nice to have another place to view Clothworks fabrics. It gives me another perspective!

  2. I love the colour combinations and great patterns to show off all of the fabric, none of the colour or pattern gets lost in the pattern. Love it

  3. Would love to make the Dino Wheels or the Celebration quilt for a kid at Camp Korey. I love making quilts for kids in need.

  4. It is really very hard to pick just one. I like the movement of the characters in Celebration and their hair is a hoot! The incidental creatures add to the merriment. The dinosaurs are hilarious in Dinos on Parade. My grandsons would flip over that. And Milly is real sweet. I can totally see a nice combination of that curled up with one of my favorite books. I am especially fond of words on fabric as in the Daily Grind. It pulls the other designs together.

  5. I just love Milly , its warm & cool at the same time and not to forget Dino’s on Parade in the bold brights are just too cute . I have 2 grandsons who would love to be wrapped in a quilt made from these prints.

  6. Oh wow that Celebration is just as good as the Cherie…..Milly would be my second favorite here but my 11yo loves those dinos–you really did get something for everyone out of these new collections lol

  7. Oh my!…..all are great!

If I’m choosing for myself I LOVE the Milly collection. It’s just so pretty. I would love to make a quilt but I also think it would make a gorgeous bag.

If not for me then….I would have to say Dinos On Parade. I love all the bright colors and I know my 15 year old daughter would just flip for a quilt made with this fabric! (She loves Dinos)
