Favorite Magazines and a giveaway…

Have you seen the latest quilt magazines? We’re very lucky to know a handful of very talented designers who love to work with Clothworks fabrics, and so we enjoy having their patterns featured in some of the best quilt magazines that are out there. This month we are especially excited about a quilt designed by Anita Peluso using the Blue Bouquet collection which was featured on the cover of Fons and Porter’s Love of Quilting!
In the Quiltmaker this month, there is an adorable baby quilt designed by Caroline Reardon featuring our On the Go fabric–isn’t this to-die-for cute?Puddle-Jumpers_Quiltmaker
…and the talented Helen Weinman of Heartbeat Quilts designed this striking quilt which appears this month in The Quilter, using the Dancing Horses collection.
So we’re curious…what’s your favorite quilt magazine? Or if you don’t read quilt magazines, do you have any other favorite magazines? We’d love to hear from you, and we have a special little giveaway for one lucky person! We’ll draw a winner at random from your comments on this post this Friday 6/18 to win this adorable little backpack in Bird Talk fabric! Please, just one comment per person, thank you!

  1. My all-time favorite is and has been Quiltmaker. I also get McCall’s quilt magazine, American Patchwork & Quilting and Quilters Newsletter. Lately I’ve added the new Irish Quilting and I get Homespun (AU) (more for the stitchery). I’ve recently discovered Quiltmania (thanks Barnes & Noble), but there have to be 3 or more projects for me to justify the cost. I also got the second issue of Quilt Life (Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson) which is a fantastic magazine. I used to get Mark Lepinski’s magazine, but it’s lost something (it’s sparkle) since he left. I loved Minatures as well, and I’m sad it’s gone.

  2. I love quilting magazines but I don’t have a favorite.I guess my favorite mag. of all is called Tea time. It really relaxes me to look at a good magazine. I love that little back pack! Super cute!

  3. That backpack is just so cute! I’m not that familiar with quilting magazines except Quilting Arts having only recently delved more into quilting now my eyes aren’t so good for embroidery although I do still purchase “Stitch with the Embroiderer’s Guild” a UK magazine bimonthly.

  4. I always purchase Fons and Porter’s Love of Qulting Magazine. Love the different ideas and ways to quilt. Most times I purchase quilt books at the local store.

  5. What a cute bag! I love that fabric! I only subscribe to Fons and Porter and American Patchwork and Quilting magazines. Occasionally I’ll buy another one on impulse at the store but not very often. Thanks for the giveaway! :0)

  6. That is too cute. I have the Quiltmaker magazine with the cute quilt you are featuring hre. I may make it using florals instead…no little boys in the family…just big ones!

  7. What a sweet backpack! I will pick up various quilt magazines if it looks like easy projects in them (since I’m quite the novice). I have subscriptions to Sunset, Better Homes and Gardens, and Family Circle. Sunset is my favorite of these!

  8. What a cute bag! I love that fabric! We have all this lovely fabrics collection in our shop in Spain (Canary Island)
.My favorite magazins Quiltmaker ,I also get McCall’s quilt magazine, the American Patchwork & Quilting,Country Sampler and Homespun.

  9. i like all magazines. they are like quilt shops—you can always find something you like.
i have probably made the most patterns from quiltmaker, mccalls, and apq. made a couple from fons and porter, too. i have let some subscriptions expire, though. seems like just promoting fabric lines in simple quilts, than promoting quilting.

  10. I’ve always found awesome patterns in Fons and Porter, but I also really like Better Homes and Gardens magazines, especially Quilt Sampler with Shop Hops. It’s interesting to see the different boutiques from around the country. Quilts and More is a good one too when I’m looking to make a quick fabric based gift or something different!

  11. I think my favourites are American Patchwork & Quilting and Quiltmania. When McCall’s first came out it was my favourite for a long time but not so much now. Truthfully, any issue of any quilt magazine that has something that really inspires me is my favourite!

  12. I have several favorites, but if I had to pick one ……Quick Quilts. My best memory is when I got an issue in the mail on a friday and my daughter and I each picked separate patterns from the magazine to make. We spent the weekend together sewing and quilting. By Monday morning we had two new quilts right out of the magazine!
