Did you know that we do a free pattern for every collection we do? We work with a variety of very talented pattern designers, machine quilters & piecers, and pattern testers. That’s right, our patterns are tested for accuracy, meaning that we actually have someone make the pattern up when the fabric comes in to make sure that the pattern is correct.

Here is the European Taupe IV free pattern. European Taupe IV is from our Japanese distributor Kinkame, and is available in shops starting in late summer. The quilt design is by Bonnie Mitchell. Machine quilting is by Laurie Gustafson in Woodinville, WA, who can be contacted at

Here is the Shades free pattern. Shades is also by Kinkame. Quilt design is by Anita Peluso of Bloomin’ Workshop, and machine quilting is by Laurie Gustafson (

…and last but not least is the Urban Landscapes free pattern. The Urban Landscapes collection and free pattern were both designed by Kathy York and are in shops now. Leslie Aflatooni machine quilted this beauty.

Going Crazy for The Nappies!

I picked up this new pattern from Favorite Things at Quilt Market and just fell in love! It’s called The Nappies, and I made a couple in the Toy Poodle fabric by Kinkame for Clothworks. Both September and I are new mammas and use cloth diapers on our babies, but I had never seen a pattern to make my own cloth diapers before–how cool! So now I am addicted to these adorable little things…can you resist??

Ok, I know I went a little nuts with the photos, but they are so cute I just can’t help it! If you are expecting, or need a perfect baby shower gift, check out The Nappies pattern here. They are super quick, easy, and fun to make once you get the hang of it. Warning: may be addicting!

An idea in Bloom

Tuesday afternoon I ventured from my computer out to the warehouse in search of some fabric to fulfill my latest sewing crave, a quick and easy baby dress.  24 hours later (just under two of those behind the sewing machine) and…

Luna-Bloomstwo very cute and happy little girls!

The fabric I chose was Luna Blooms by Sue Zipkin and I just love how they turned out. The prints just scream “Hey sun, come out and play!” Now if the sun would just listen. We still have a bit of this fabric left so come and get it before it’s gone!

Ok, I’m going back to patterns, ads and fantastic new fabric collections coming your way soon!  So take care, and Brandi thanks for letting me visit 🙂
