I’d like to introduce one of my favorite new pattern designers on the scene right now, La Todera! The beautiful Julie is La Todera’s creator and incredibly talented pattern designer. I saw her patterns for the very first time at the last quilt market and had to stop dead in my tracks to ooh and ahhh over her super hip, super cool and very unique sewing patterns. Check out the gorgeous Camelia Gigantus Brooch pattern that Julie designed using our very own Shades fabric.
Don’t you just love how this pattern uses the gradating fabric to create this unique effect? That Julie is one creative gal!
We love Julie’s other patterns too, and our friend Jean Seamster made these other projects. This first photo shows the Kafflower! Brooch Pattern and the Berry Bunch Brooch Pattern.
This next photo shows the Kabloom! Pincushion Pattern.
Jean used some of the new Holiday Celebrations fabric by Laurel Burch…coming soon in May!
If you like these patterns, ask for them at your local quilt shop or hop on over to Julie’s sassy website and buy online. Happy Sewing!
I’ve been just bursting at the seams with excitement in anticipation to tell all of you the news….we’ve got a brand new fabric brand, Organic Elements! Our first collection features a new designer that some of you may know for her absolutely adorable embroideries, Alyssa Thomas of Penguin & Fish. Just feast your eyes on the insane cuteness of Alyssa’s collection, Safari Sweet.
Isn’t it just dripping with so much adorableness that you can’t hardly stand it? Just imagine a baby nursery filled with this luscious fabric. You want to know one of the best things about this new brand? It’s affordable! That’s right, you can create baby’s nursery without breaking the bank. Yeah! And check out this fun free pattern designed by Alyssa!
I’ll be filling you in more on this exciting news in the coming weeks, but just had to give you all a sneak peek now that it’s up on our website. We also have a collection of beautiful solids we are calling Everyday Organics that will be on the website soon as well. Both collections are coming out August 2011.
