Farm to Fabric Challenge: Call for Entries + Giveaway!!

If you’ve been following us here at the Works lately, I’m sure you’ve seen all of the talk about our newest solid fabric release, American Made Brand Solids!!  The tagline couldn’t say it any better:  ‘From Farm to Fabric’, we’re thrilled to be offering a fabric that is grown, processed, woven, dyed, and manufactured all here in the United States of America!  In honor of the release of the AMB solids, Clothworks is hosting the Farm to Fabric Challenge, a juried quilt exhibition set to premier at this year’s International Quilt Market & Festival in Houston, Texas on October 25th through November 2nd, 2014.

Good news for all you procrastinators, it’s not too late to enter into the Farm to Fabric Challenge .  We are taking submissions now through Friday, August 15th.  We’re calling on all of you creative folks to wow us with some amazing quilt and textile masterpieces using American Made Brand solids!!  When designing your entry for the Farm to Fabric Challenge, think of the theme:  “Celebrating Farm to Fabric”.  Consider what it means to you, your family, or your community to bring fabric production back to the USA!  Are you up for the challenge?

Click on this link to read more about the details for registration into the Farm to Fabric Challenge.  And be sure to read the 4-1-1 on how to photograph your quilt submissions at this link.  There are some great resources here.

A stellar jury comprised of 3 incredible women who all reign in the quilting & sewing communities, including Pokey Bolton, Alissa Haight Carlton, and Heather Jones, will judge the entries submitted to the Farm to Fabric Challenge.  Should your entry be selected into the exhibit, you will be notified no later than Friday September 5, 2014.  Selected quilts must arrive in Houston, TX no later than Wednesday October 1, 2014 to be displayed in the International Quilt Market and Festival.

Good luck and Happy Creating!!!  We can’t wait to see what you create with American Made Brand fabrics!

  1. I’d love to own these four colors in AMB fabric. I tell people about this fabric every chance I get, especially when I’m in quilt shops that don’t carry it (which is most of the ones in this state). Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity.

  2. I’d love to have one of these bundles–bundle of joy–solids are so great. It’s so nice to be able to say we have American Made fabrics. These are beautiful. Do you know if they are planning on making prints too?

  3. The idea of American produced fabric makes my heart sing! I would love to try it out. Thanks for this awesome giveaway.

    | The Works is kinda plain. You ought to peek at Yahoo’s front page and watch how they write
news titles to get viewers interested. You might add a video or a pic or two to
grab readers interested about what you’ve written. In my opinion, it could make
    your posts a little livelier.

  10. Appreciating the commitment you put into your website and in depth information you provide.
It’s nice to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same unwanted rehashed information. Excellent
read! I’ve saved your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google
