Let the seeds of creativity grow into boundless creations! Vintage Seedpackets, the most recent Clothworks fabric collection by sister design duo Iron Orchid Designs, has delivered to a LQS (local quilt shop) near you. Characteristic of the vintage influence found in their previous fabric collections released by Clothworks, Iron Orchid Designs draw inspiration from old-time seed packet graphics and vintage newsprints about garden vegetables in their newest fabric release, Vintage Seedpackets. It’s garden season and Vintage Seedpackets fabric is blooming with color & beauty!
Our multi-talented friends Mdm Samm of the blog Sew we Stitch, as well as her cohort, Cori of the blog Creativity Amongst Chaos, have made some stunning creations using Vintage Seedpackets— I just had to share!
If you remember, Mdm Samm was the lovely lady who organized the Have a Latte Blog Hop a few months ago. Judging from her highly skilled and creative crafting/sewing/quilting friends, we knew Mdm Samm would not disappoint with showcasing Vintage Seedpackets in one of her nifty designs.
If the needlepoint rose design she stitched to use in her blog logo is any indicator that Mdm Samm loves working in her garden just as much as her craft room, then we knew she’d create something marvelous to showcase Vintage Seedpackets!
And would you take a look at these beauties!!! A Tammy Bag (original pattern design by Mdm Samm) and ruffled slip cover for the pillow! Head on over to Mdm Samm’s blog, Sew We Stitch, to see more pictures of her Vintage Seedpackets creations!
The newsprint-inspired design in Vintage Seedpackets served as a lovely backdrop to frame her adorable garden-themed applique and embroidery motifs on these sweet pillows made by Cori. Check out the rest of her blog post for more pictures….and check back over the weekend to see even more creations she plans to make with Vintage Seedpackets!
