Colorful Collaboration: AMB Solid Cottons + Stitched in Color

American Made Brand is thrilled to team up with talented quilter, teacher, and blogger Rachel Hauser, of Stitched in ColorStitched in Color is a treasure trove of quilting resources:  from tutorials, to patterns, to online classes– you’ll not only lose yourself in the plethora of information, but you might catch yourself staring endlessly at the pictures of Rachel’s vibrant multi-color patchwork creations.  The quilting goodness does not stop there, though.  This busy mother also founded and currently runs an online quilting bee called do.Good Stitches , bringing quilters together to make charity quilts for those in need.  As you can see, it seems to be a natural match for American Made Brand and Stitched in Color to collaborate!

Inspired by Sherri Lynn Wood’s The Improv Handbook for Modern Quilters, Rachel shows us the beginnings of a quilt project she’s about to tackle using a range of soothing blues & neutrals in the American Made Brand solid collection!  I don’t know about you, but I’m anxious to see the completed masterpiece!

What’s in a name?  “This Most Perfect Hill“, a poem by Lisa Jarnot, inspired Block 2’s name. Jarnot is a contemporary writer from Buffalo, NY and once said: “I think poems are always a collage on some level…. Collage is a way to force awareness out of the random flow of information that’s constantly bombarding us.” Read or hear the poem aloud on the website.
